Oracle Card Decks

I currently own many oracle card decks.  I have found working with each one to be different.  My reviews on the deck are my personal experience with them.  Please remember while reading the reviews, that different people connect better with certain decks than others.
If I did not connect with the deck, it doesn't mean that you won't.

Check back for more reviews.  If you would like a specific deck reviewed, feel free to email me at mystic@mysticautumn.com

Angels

Ask an Angel by Toni Carmine Salerno and Carisa Mellado

This is the third deck that I have gotten by Toni Salerno, and I love it.  The artwork is stunning, the messages are clear and thought provoking, and this is a wonderful deck overall.  Each card has the name of an angel, a beautiful picture, and a key word or phrase.  The booklet that comes with the deck is organized by the cards' key words and phrases.  The booklet gives thorough and insightful explanations of each card.

Daily Guidance from your Angels Oracle Cards - Doreen Virtue

This deck is great for daily reminders.  Each card a picture, key words, and a small paragraph explaining the card.  The guide book gives more of an explanation about the card and other possible meanings for the card.  All of these messages are positive and loving.

Life Purpose Oracle Cards - Doreen Virtue

This was one of the first oracle card decks that I bought.  I was hoping to gain some insight as to what my life purpose may be.  This deck may aid you in finding out about possible careers, or a direction to travel on your spiritual path.  Each card has a key word, along with an image, and a small explanation of the card.  The guidebook is organized alphabetically by the card's key word, and gives an explanation of the card's meanings.

Faeries

Magical Messages from the Faeries Oracle Cards - Doreen Virtue

I love faeries, and I love this deck.  The artwork is wonderful, and my readings tend to be accurate.  Each card has a word or phrase, a picture, and a couple of lines describing the card.  The booklet expands upon the meaning of the card and offers other possible meaning for the card.  I feel that this deck is great for daily guidance and for use in conjunction with other decks.

Nature

Crystal Oracle - Toni Carmine Salerno

Having loved Toni Salerno's Gaia Oracle and loving crystals, I decided to buy this deck.  This deck has pictures of different crystals, along with their names.  There is no explanation on the cards, but the book that comes with the deck has all the crystals in alphabetical order to easily look up their meanings.  I really did want to love this deck, but sadly I wasn't thoroughly impressed.  The photos of different crystals are usually zoomed in very close, rather than showing you a whole crystal.  Also, the coloring seems to be very off on many pictures.  I just couldn't bond with this deck.  Maybe I will try a different crystal oracle deck at some point, but maybe for now I am better off doing readings from actual crystals.

Gaia Oracle - Toni Carmine Salerno

Sometimes certain decks take a few times to get used to, but this one seemed to work well with me right away.  Whenever I get a new deck, I quickly go through and look at the imagery. It is usually at this point that I start to feel whether the deck is going to take some getting used to or not.  I thought this one may take some getting used to, but the first reading I did surprised me with its accuracy.  This has become one of my favorite decks to work with.

Each of the 45 cards in this deck has a beautiful image, along with the card's name and a few words to describe the card.  Each card is also numbered, which makes looking up cards easy.    The guidebook tells about the deck, gives a few layouts, and then has card interpretations.  The card interpretations are as follows: image, number and name of card, words to describe the cards, in-depth description, and a positive affirmation.

Other

Ask Your Guides - Sonia Choquette

Each card in this deck has the title of the card, a picture with a small number in the corner for look up in the guide book, and what spirit guide the message is from (ex. Higher Self, Guardian Angels, Nature Spirits).  The guidebook is organized by the numbers on the cards.  In the guidebook, each card has 4 additional key phases to go with the card, as well as an explanation as to the meaning of the card.  The artwork on these cards is abstract and colorful.  This is not one of my go-to decks, but I like to use it from time to time.

Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards - Doreen Virtue

This deck depicts Goddesses from all over the world from Celtic, Mayan, Egyptian, Greek, Tibetan, Buddhist, and other cultures.  Each cards has the Goddess's name, a word or phrase for the card, and a short guidance quote.  The booklet with the cards is organized alphabetically.  It includes an expanded message from the Goddess, other possible meanings for the cards, and a little bit about the Goddess herself.  I find this deck very interesting, especially learning about different cultures' Goddesses.

Healing Madalas Oracle Cards by Jolie DeMarco

Picture
This Oracle Card deck is a bit different than many others that I have worked with.  To use it, you lay out the cards, and choose whatever healing mandala you feel drawn to.  On the back is a channeled message, the usage of the mandala, crystals and essences, meditation hand positions, and what the card says about you.  These cards are wonderful.  The mandalas are vibrant, and great for mediating upon.  This deck has a certain spiritual healing aspect to it that makes it extra unique.  I love the fact that it gives crystals and essences to use with the card.  It really helps with the meditation with the cards.  I definitely recommend this deck to spiritual explorers.

Wisdom of the Hidden Realms Oracle Cards - Colette Baron Reid

I found this deck to be a bit dark for me.  I understand that not all decks will be rainbows and butterflies, and sometimes we need some bad news...but I found this deck to seem a bit negative for me.  Something about it made me a bit uncomfortable.  This deck and I just did not personally connect.  The artwork has a dark fantasy and sometimes gothic feel to it.  The cards are meant to be read with reversals (ally for upright and challenger for reversed).

Oracle Card Pouches

Picture
I highly recommend these Oracle or Tarot Card pouches from Blackford Cottage on Etsy.  They are hand made, come in a variety of beautiful patterns, and give your cards a real home.  They are padded for extra protection and have a satin pull string at the top to close the pouch.  I have many pouches from this seller and have been thrilled with each one.  They are the perfect size for most Oracle and Tarot Cards.
